After two and a half years of struggling , with coordinated efforts by the City Council, in cooperation with the environmental club Eretrias "Achinos" ,we reached the target of recycling in our city.

We overcame the impediment of the population limits of the City, taking in cities with fewer than 10,000 residents are not included in recycling programms.

The arguments as opposed were the concentration of large volumes of waste in relation to the size of the municipality and the clear upward trend in population growth.

Eretria received a Mercedes collection vehicle as a donnation , with capacity 16 c.m. and after completing all the the necessary procedures , the vehicle is ready for use.

190 special blue bins were also received , which will be placed at appropriate points to start the implementation.
