The "House of the Mosaics" was underground, constructed on older structures circa 370bc.It used to cover an area 625 m².Its architecture  is a typical sample of an ancient Greek residence. It consists of an atrium, basic and ancillary spaces. The rooms on the southern side are considered as the most spectacular because of the mosaic decorations. The theme of the pictures on the mosaic is inspired by mythology and the iliad. That House was ruined by a fire in the early 3rd century.
