This is a Macedonian type grave, dating from the late 4th century B.C., during which, after the dominance of the Macedonians, monuments of this type also appear in southern Greece.
Between the other discoveries of the grave, that are today exposed in the Metropolitan Museum of New York, were also  found clay statuettes of Erotes, in which the monument owes the current name of monument. It is found on the hill, north-westernly of 0Eretria and is maintained in a good enough situation.
