The Municipality

Eretria is one of the municipalities of the island of Evia. It is located in the central part of the island, by the coast of southern Evian Gulf, bordering municipalities Lilantion, Dirfis and Amarinthos. The municipality coves an area of 58.6 sq. km. and has a total population of 5.969 inhabitants. Eretria is the major town of the municipality,which consist of the following settlemenst:
